Position Description

Administrative Assistant

for the West Midlands Consortium

15 Hours per week – Part Time

Salary £6,000 per annum


Please note that this post is term time plus 4 weeks (inclusive of 10 PD days)

The West Midlands Consortium has successfully led and managed School Centred Initial Teacher Training Courses for over 20 years.  We are a well-established leading provider for teacher training based at Thomas Telford School, the top performing non-selective comprehensive in England.  This 11-18 City Technology College with an enrolment of 1300 students was named, for the fourth time, in Her Majesty's Chief Inspector's Annual Report for its outstanding Ofsted Inspection Report and examination results.  

We seek to appoint an efficient, personable and flexible person to work in a busy office which focuses on all aspects of teacher training from pre-application to supporting trainees following qualification.  Previous administrative experience and a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel packages are essential together with an understanding of social media platforms.

The successful applicant will be highly organised and methodical, show meticulous attention to detail and possess the ability to work independently.  Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner are essential together with respect for the confidential nature of the work.
